HISTORY

D&D Drilling, Inc. was organized in December of 1999. We started work in January 2000 with one drill, a 24x40A Vermeer and a 3 man crew. Today we have 35 field employees, three field supervisors, 1 full time office manager, and the 2 owners, David Noffsinger President and David Mack CFO.

We started the hard way, drilling rock. We completed the last 13 rock bores on the Level 3 project for Kiewit from Frederick to Hancock, Md. I think we still have the longest low flow mud motor bore of 635’ completed on River Road. We have completed many long and complicated bores over the years with the most recent being the Stoney Creek bore for BGE in which we drilled out 1200’ and installed 7-6” ducts. We have worked for BGE for 7 years and are considered one of their most valued contractors since we have the ability to do anything underground turn-key.

Currently We own 9 drill rigs ranging from Vermeer 7/11 to the 36x50. We also have crews competant to operate larger rigs as we often lease bigger rigs for bigger jobs. We have crews certified in confined space, soil and sediment control, competant person, etc. All of our employees are outfitted in FR clothing everyday.

We have been written up and published by numerous magazines and most recently received some press for a bore we completed on the Chesapeake Bay. The publication was the March 12, 2007 issue of Construction Magazine.

We install mostly high voltage electric cable for BGE, but have done quite a bit of gas work for BGE. We have crews with security clearances to work on government bases and complexes. We have just finished some work for Aberdeen Proving Grounds, and the NSA headquarters at Ft. Meade.

We consider ourselves to be organized and better equipped than most drill company’s in the industry.
